Originally, the property belonged to the monastery of St. Peter. In 1822, Abbot Albert Nagenzaun had the dairy farms on the auctioned off. The starting price was 450 Gulden, the hammer price was 1353 Gulden. The Rotenturmmeierei changed hands for 850 Gulden. The new owner was the rain roof maker Theresia Reiter. The tower was two stories high at that time. The attached cowshed was underpinned and had a wooden hayloft on top. In the tower there was a fruit cellar. Attached was a barn with a leaf hut.
